About me

My Story

Bringing over 20 years of experience to support your journey.

For over 25 years, I have worked alongside people navigating life’s challenges, helping them make sense of experiences that can leave them feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about who they are. Many of the people I work with appear capable and successful on the outside. They are managing responsibilities, meeting expectations, and supporting others, yet privately they may be struggling with stress, burnout, anxiety, loss of confidence, difficult life experiences, or a growing sense that they have lost touch with themselves.

My understanding of therapy comes not only from professional training and years of practice, but also from experiencing counselling myself. Like many people, I have sat in the client’s chair. Some of those experiences were deeply helpful and contributed significantly to my own personal growth and ability to navigate life’s challenges. They showed me the value of being heard, understood, and supported by someone who could help me make sense of my experiences.

I have also experienced therapy that was less helpful. Those experiences left a lasting impression and taught me how important it is to feel safe, understood, and genuinely connected to the person you are working with. They reinforced my belief that therapy is not simply about techniques or qualifications; it is about finding the right therapeutic relationship.

Because of this, I am committed to creating a space where clients feel able to be honest about their experience of therapy. I encourage open conversations about what is working, what is not, and whether we feel like the right fit for one another.
